The little new : orange wine

It’s the little new this year : orange wine ! 💥

For the curious and lovers of novelties, the orange wine called “maceration” is in fact a white wine, vinified like a red. In concrete terms, the white grape musts were left in contact for about ten days with the skins, seeds and stalks. By macerating, the wine will be loaded with tannins, which will give it its orange color and especially intense aromas.

Blend of Chardonnay, Viognier with a touch of Gewurztraminer; these white grape varieties vinified in this way develop an unsuspected finesse and tonicity.

What to expect? To a white wine with character 💪, a subtle tannic structure and a slight acidity, accompanied by aromas of honey, citrus fruits and sweet spices. 🍯🍊

It can be enjoyed very fresh, simply as an aperitif, during a Mediterranean meal, or accompanied by a cheese platter.
Finally, orange wines have good potential for slightly sweet dishes, especially those with dried fruit.
